WOMEN MEETING OF BSNLEUWB CIRCLE HELD ON 13/01/2009

A warm and enthusiastic welcome with Red rose awaited when the working women arrived at Telegraph Institute Hall, CTO, Kolkata on 13th January, 2009 at 2-30 pm to attend the Campaign Meeting for the Fourth Membership Verification. All arrangements for the meeting was made by the Women Sub Committee of BSNLEU West Bengal Circle. The cultural team of BSNLEU W B Circle sang revolutionary songs which inspired around one hundred fifty women BSNL employees who gathered there from different BSNL WB offices in and around Kolkata. The meeting was presided over by Com. Gobinda Das ,Vice President BSNLEU WB Circle.Com Banani Chattopadhyay ,Jt Convenor gave the welcome speech.Com Manisha Biswas,( Asstt Circle Secretary, BSNLEU CTD Circle & the Jt convenor women sub committee ,CGCC ,WB )in her speech enlightened the gathering about new promotion scheme ,wage revision.Com Animesh Mitra ,Circle Secretary BSNLEU WB Circle spoke on crisis faced by BSNl, global issues ,anti-workers policies of Govt including IPO, Listing ,exploitation on contract labours ,VRS etc. He also appealed to defeat the opportunist alliance of NFTE BSNL & NUBSNLW (FNTO).Com Shibani Das ,Jt Convenor also spoke on the occasion. The meeting ended with the president's concluding speech.
