NOTIFICATION

It is hereby notified that as decided in the meeting held on 23.9.2004 with the unions, which was presided over by CLC (C), the Membership Verification for election of a majority representative union of non-executive in BSNL will be held on 1.12.2004 under the Secret Ballot. The list of 10 participating eligible unions in the 2nd membership verification process was circulated vide letter of even number dated 1.10.2004. The schedule of elections through secret ballot will be as under:-

i) Last date of withdrawal from the

Verification process by a union - 8.10.2004

ii) Date of polling - 1.12.2004

iii) Date of counting of votes by ARO in SSA - 3.12.2004

iv) Declaration of result by CRO - 4.12.2004

2. Such of the eligible unions as are desirous of withdrawing from the contest, may do so by 8.10.2004. In case no intimation of the withdrawal from the contest is received, it will be presumed that all the ten unions will participate in the membership verification on 1.12.2004.

3. All the ten eligible participating unions are requested to abide by the code of discipline (copy enclosed) as per undertaking given by them at the time of applying for participation in the 2nd verification process. As the Election Symbols from some of the eligible unions are still awaited, the same will be circulated separately.
