Sub. Payment of pending claim to the regular staff and salary of Casual/ Contractual Labourers before Puja.

Sir,

This Circle union is constrained to bring to your notice that various payments of the employees like OT, Medical, Festival Advance, GPF etc. are being curtailed/ withheld in various SSAs of West Bengal Circle on the plea of Fund Curtailment.

You are aware that this year the Grand festival of Durga Puja in West Bengal is going to be celebrated from 2^nd October, 2011. It was a convention in this Circle that all pending claims of the employees were being paid before Puja. We are in the opinion that this convention to be continued this year also and all the claims of the employees to be cleared within Mahalaya, the 27^th October, 2011.

As such you are requested to take up the case with the Corporate Office for allotment of fund so that all payments like OT, Medical, Festival Advance, GPF etc could be made to the employees within 27^th October, 2011.

More over it is observed with great concern that the salary of Casual/Contractual Labourers are not made in time and even the salary of the Security Guards and Casual/Contractual Labourers of Civil & Electrical Wing are not being paid. Though, the Grand Festival of Durga Puja is knocking at the door.

Under this circumstance I would request you to make necessary arrangement to pay the salary of all Casual/Contractual Labourers and Security Guards in West Bengal Circle by 1^st of October, 2011 so that these poor workers could celebrate Durga Puja with their families.
