Meeting with Shri D.P.Dey,GM(Estt), BSNL:- Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, General Secretary met Shri D.P.Dey, GM(Estt.) and discussed the following:

Compassionate Appointments:- GS pointed out that there are a lot of applications for compassionate ground appointments and wanted the cases to be settled early considering the pitiable condition of the bereaved families. GM(Estt.) stated that  3-4 meetings of the High Power Committee have already been held and many cases have been cleared. Other cases also will be considered without delay.

Waiving of condition of bond for Departmental candidates who passed JTO Direct Recruitment Examination:- The Union demanded that the departmental officials who have been selected in the 50% outside Direct Recruitment Quota be exempted from furnishing the bonds in view of the fact they are already is service and they have submitted bond earlier. GM agreed to examine.

Reduction of service condition for appearing in JTO 35% quota:- GS wanted the assurance of the management made in the National Council to reduce the service condition from 10 years for appearing in the JTO 35% quota examination. GM(Estt) stated that the issue is being finalised.
