Gist of the discussion held with CGMT, W.B. Circle on 23-09-2010

in the Chamber of CGMT W.B. Circle.

A massive demonstration was took place in the CGMT Office on 22^nd and 23^rd September’2010 at the call of BSNLEU & BSNLCMU , W.B. Circle. Around 2000 BSNL employees & Casual/Contract labourers were present in their 2 days dharna. The Circle leaders of both the BSNLEU & BSNLCMU alongwith the Circle leadership of AIBDPA , W.B. Circle met the CGMT, W.B. Circle and demanded for settlement of demands related to Developmental activities and staff matters. After threadbare discussion the following decision/ opinion has been taken in the meeting.

1. NEPP will be introduced before 30-09-2010 in most of the SSAs. Rest of the SSAs will complete the process before 15-10-2010. Staff side demanded it should be done before 7^th October’2010.
2. An instruction will be issued to all SSA Heads to complete the pending “CR” of the Non-executives to expedite the implementation of NEPP.
3. A Pensioners cell will be constituted to solve the pensioners’ grievances at T.C.O. office where officers will be deputed.
4. CGMT assured that EPF/ESI to the Casual labourers will be implemented within this month. Regarding granting of TSM status CGMT will move to BSNL C.O. New Delhi to get their concurrence to implement it. Staff side demanded that TSM ship may be granted either by SSA Head or CGMT. CGMT assured that the regularisation of left out Casual labourers and wages at par with BSNL Gr.-D minimum pay will be again discussed with the Dir.(HRD) at BSNL C.O.

With view of the above District Secretaries of both the BSNLEU/BSNLCMU should organize their programme at SSA H.Q.s on 24^th September’2010 to press upon the GM/TDM/SSA Head to expedite the demands at your level.
