Sir,
All of us are perhaps well aware of the significant guiding principle for the Management to involve the workers’ representative in Developmental planning of an Industry. We are also very happy to note that our Chairman-cum-Managing Director, B.S.N.L. has also expressed his views to involve the staff representatives in the Developmental planning of BSNL.
But it is unfortunate that some SSA Heads of our Circle are avoiding the path of involving or associating the staff representatives in the Developmental activities of any kind.
But you will also appreciate that the question of expansion, viability or prosperity of BSNL can never be the task of the Management alone. There should be a joint endeavour of both Management and the workers desire for which is often expressed by the Management also. But in action the endeavour is totally absent.
We have come to know that a Developmental Planning meeting with SSA Heads is scheduled to be held on 12-12-2005. Accordingly necessity is felt to meet and discuss about the planning of the future development of BSNL activities in our Circle. It will be therefore in the fitness of the things to ensure to involve the Staff representatives in the said meeting with the SSA Heads relating to Developmental Planning or atleast prior to the meeting to enable us to exchange our views in the interest of the future prospect of BSNL.
