CIRCULAR-19

Comrade,

            An emergent Circle Office Bearers meeting along with District Secretaries in and around Kolkata was held on 5th July’2006. Comrade Jnanamoy Bhattacharya, Vice- President of the Circle Union presided over the meeting. Following decisions were taken for immediate implementation.

 

1.   Continuous Hunger Strike by Casual Labourers of Krishnanagar Telecom District w.e.f. 19-06-2006 and consequential heartless attitude of District Telecom Administration as envisaged in the reluctance of a section of Officers’ mental make up towards settlement of the issue was seriously viewed in the Circle Office Bearers meeting. It has been decided to escalate the movement from Krisnanagar Telecom District to the Circle level to intensify it throughout the Circle. Accordingly the Circle Office Bearers will observe a programme of indefinite hunger strike in  front of the  C.G.M.’s Chamber when the District leadership will stage Dharna at the District HQs. Dates will be decided in consultation with BSNL CMU WB Circle. It is a matter of encouragement that the CGCC WB has decided to organize massive demonstration at the Circle and District HQs.

   

A meeting of Joint Forum, West Bengal Circle may be held on 10th July’2006 on this issue.

 

  1. The money collected for donation to the struggling workers of Krishnagar SSA should be remitted to the Circle Union immediately.
  2. The new C.G.M. WB Circle has adopted the path of non co operation with BSNLEU as manifested  in his attitude of referring BSNL HQ in respect of a good number of issues like TTA-Examination, Screening Test of TOA(G), Compassionate appointment , Developmental activities and even the issues already settled in Circle Council. The Circle Office Bearers have also decided to focus the issues in campaign throughout the Circle including the issue of Krishnagar during the period of movement.  
  3. A Blood Donation Camp will be organized like previous year at K.G.Bose Smriti Bhawan on 7th July’2006.
  4. A massive Rally of Workers, Employees, Teachers  will be held at Esplanade , Kolkata on 12-07-2006 at 5-30 P.M. on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of 12 July Committee . District Secretaries in and around Kolkata are requested to take serious initiative to join the rally and Demonstration. District Secretaries of outside Kolkata are requested to take part in the organizational programme in there respective Districts.
  5. Central Executive Committee meeting may be held at Calicut , Kerala in the third week of August’2006.  Detail information will be communicated later.
  6. The Bengali Journal “ Door Sanchar Karmee “ has been published. Collect it and distribute amongst the members without  delay.
