Protest day on 17th March’2010 of Casual/Contract Workers :-
At the call of BSNLCCWF and BSNLEU
protest demonstration and sending telegrams to CMD, BSNL was organized
throughout the W.B. Telecom Circle satisfactorily. Regular and non-regular
workers observed the programme at Brnch/District level. In Kolkata, massive
demonstration was launched at CGMT/WB Circle, CGM/ETR and CGM/Project Offices..
BSNLCMU W.B. Circle has decided to lunch continuous massive Dharna at all SSA
H.Q.s from 24th March’2010. Therefore, District / Branch Secretaries
of BSNLEU are requested to take active part in favour of their struggle.
BSNLEU Foundation day on 22nd March’2010 :-
Like previous years the
celebration of BSNLEU foundation day will be observed in a befitting manner.
District /Branch Secretaries are requested to hoist our union flag in the morning
on 22nd March’2010 and they may organize some social activities on
that day. It is decided in Circle Office Bearer meeting that the day will be
observed centrally at Telecom Institute, C.T.O. Kolkata at 3 P.M. Branch /
district Secretaries in and around Kolkata are requested to join this programme
.
Convention on 25th March’2010 at University Centenary Hall at
1630 hrs. :-
Co-ordination Committee of BSNL
Unions W.B. has decided to organize a Convention on 25th March’2010
at 1630 hrs. at Calcutta University Centenary Hall . Eminent T.U. leaders will
speak on the present situation of BSNL and the recommendation of Sam Pitroda Committee
and our future course of action including Strike on 20th April’2010.
Branch/District secretaries are requested to take sincerest effort to mobilize
maximum number of members on that day.
Joint Forum meeting:-
State level Joint Forum meeting
was held on 17th March’2010 at 1700 hrs. at BSNLEU Union Office at
C.T.O. building. Circle Secretaries / Representatives of BSNLEU. NUBSNLW(FNTO),
SNEA(I), AIBSNLEA were present in the meeting. It is decided that massive Dharna
Programme will be organized at every District
level on 26th March’2010 from 1000 hrs. to 1700 at the call of Joint Forum, New Delhi
against the derogative recommendation of Sam Pitroda Committee. In Kolkata , the massive Dharna programme
will be held at CGM CTD/W.B/ETR/ETP and C.E.(Civil ), Yogayog Bhawan. Other
District Secretaries of West Bengal Circle are requested to conduct the
programme along with other unions jointly.It is decided in the Joint Forum
meeting that a separate meeting will be held to discuss the alarming scenario of BSNL teleservice in W.B. and a delegation of Joint forum, West
Bengal will meet CGMT W.B. Circle shortly in this regard. Joint Forum West
Bengal expressed unhappiness towards the roll of BSNL Management and policies
of UPA-II Govt..
Meeting of Kolkata based District Secretaries :-
A meeting was held with the Circle
leadership and the District secretaries in and around kolkata on 17th
March’29010 at 1500 hrs. at Recreation Room, CGMT Office, Kolkata. Com. Subir
Sanyal, Vice-President of the Circle Union presided over the meeting. 9(Nine) District Secretaries along with
Branch Secretaries of Kolkata were present in the meeting. It is decided that District Unions will take
sincerest effort to join the programme
on 22nd March (BSNLEU Foundation Day ), 25th March’2010 (
Convention at Calcutta University Centenary Hall ) , 26th March’2010
( Day long mass dharna at CGM Offices ) 30th March’2010 ( Pensioners Convention ) with a maximum
number of members. Leadership of Casual / Contractual labouers were also
present in the meeting.
