Dear Comrade,

            Perhaps you have by this time come to know that a massive All India One day token Strike in B.S.N.L. is scheduled to be held on 05-01-2006 which has already  been decided at New Delhi in a meeting of the Joint Forum of all none ( 9 ) unions in B.S.N.L. One document containing the details is enclosed.

 

            You are also aware of the facts that as per the guidelines of the Circle Conference our Circle Union has called upon its branches to organize  a series of programmes of our own. At the same time programmes have been planed at Joint Forum of All India level towards preparation of the Strike.

 

            As such the available Circle Office-Bearers at Kolkata met to-day and issued the following information.

 

  1. Circle Council meeting will be held on 13-12-2005 at 11.00 A.M. in the Conference Hall of Circle Office at 1, Council House Street, ( 2nd floor ), Kolkata.
  2. Accordingly a meeting of the Staff-side will be held on 12-12-2005 at 03-00 P.M. in the same venue. All Circle Council members are requested to reach the venue in time.
  3. Programmed of Day-long Dharna on 06-12-2005 at District level with our own demands stands.
  4. In view of the All India Strike on 05-01-2006 a programme of Lunch Hour  Demonstration of all Executive and Non-Executive Unions will have to be staged on

08-12-2005 at Branch as well as District levels as called upon by the Joint Forum of  the Executive and Non-executive Unions of All India level. As such District and Branch Secretaries are advised to take suitable measures to discuss the matter with the Executive and other Non-executive Unions to enable them to participate in the programme jointly which will help us to organize a total 100% successful Strike on 05-01-2006.

 

Joint Forum at the Circle level will meet soon and plan for future course of action to be communicated duly.
