Decisions taken in the 1^st CWC meeting held on 3^rd and 4^th July,2010 in the

Telecom Institute, CTO, Kolkata.

1^st CWC meeting of BSNL Employees Union, West Bengal Circle held on 3^rd & 4^th July,10 in the Telecom Institute Hall ( Com. Mani Bose Mancha). CGMT District Union shouldered the responsibility of the said meeting in a short time and all the comrades of the District Union worked hard to make the CWC meeting a grand success.

Out of 21 Circle office bearers 20 office bearers and out of 24 District Secretaries 23 District Secretaries attended the meeting. Com. Susanta Ghosh, Circle Secretary of AIBDPA, West Bengal Circle and Com. Tapas Ghosh, Circle Secretary, BSNLCMU, West Bengal Circle was present in the meeting.

Com. Parimal Sarkar, President BSNLEU, West Bengal Circle hoisted the Red Flag of our Union. The meeting was inaugurated by Com. Shib Sankar Roy, Joint Convener, of 12^th July Committee.

An open session was held on 3^rd July,2010 where in Com. Sisir Bhattacharjee, veteran leader of P&T movement, Com. Saibal Sengupta, President BSNL Co-ordination Committee, Com. Susanta Ghosh, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA, & Com. Tapas Ghosh, Circle Secretary BSNLCMEU deliberated their speech.

Com. Animesh Mitra, Circle Secretary placed the work paper before the house for discussion and to decide the future course of action.

After thread bare discussion by the District Secretaries and some of the office bearers the following decisions were arrived at –

1. Post card campaign – all efforts to be taken to make the programmee a grand success and this should completed before 19^th July.

2. Convention – A centrally convention to save BSNL will be held on 2^nd August at Kolkata in the University Institute Hall. Maximum efforts to be taken by the by the 7 Dist. Unions in Kolkata in this regard and our Genl. Secy. Com. P. Abhimanyu will be present in the Convention. All efforts to be taken by the Dist. Unions to hold similar convention in the

district level.

3. Campaign programme – A sustained campaign to be made for the following-

i) Viability of BSNL & no disinvestment in PSU. ii) Democratic atmosphere in West Bengal iii) Price hike

4. Postal Strike on 13^th July,2010 – All efforts to be taken to stand by the Postal Strike.

5. Condolence meeting of Com. Moni Bose – District wise condolence meeting to be held where the same has not yet been held.

6. 5^th Membership Verification – Now from onwards all efforts to be taken for preparation of next verification in BSNL.

7. Branch Conference/ Council meeting/ Works Committee - Hold Branch conference, Local council meeting & Works committee meeting without further delay.

8. Development - It is decided that all the District Secretaries will ask the administration to supply the balance sheet of the respective district as well as the development proposals so that the district could be financially viable, failing which, the district secretaries will submit their proposals to the administration to make their district viable.

9. Casual & Contract Labourers - A memorandum will be submitted to CMD if CGM, WB Circle does not discuss the problems of Casual & Contract labourers within 15.07.10.
