CEC Meeting at Delhi – Reception Committee formed: -

A Reception Committee with Com. H.L.Makkar as President, Com. Chhidu Singh as Vice-President, Com. R.S.Chauhan, Circle Secretary, Delhi NTR as Convenor and Com. Zile Singh, Circle Secretary, as Joint Convener and with other committee members were formed for the conduct of the Central Executive Committee meeting to be held New Delhi on 5-6 March 2009. The committee discussed in detail about the arrangements to be made for the successful conduct of the CEC meeting.

CHQ protests against sharing of BSNL BTS with private operators: -

 CHQ has written to management protesting against the orders of the management directing the CGMs to allow private companies to share the BTS on the plea of getting some rent. This decision of sharing with private companies will create hurdles in efficient functioning as also malpractices by private operators using our BTS. The union wants that this order should be cancelled and there should not be any sharing of BSNL BTS.

Joint Forum meets on 12th February 2009: -

A meeting of the Joint Forum of BSNL Associations/Unions of Executives and Non-executives will be held on 12th  February 2009. One of the important issues is the demand of the non-executive employees for repatriation to DOT on which a resolution has already been passed in the earlier meeting and forwarded to Prime Minister, Communications Minister, Secretary DOT and CMD BSNL.

Davengere sets the example to Growth

Davengere has shown the example how to develop and improve Services. ‘BSNL Mela’s were conducted in about 50 places during 17th December, 2008 to 7th February, 2009 and more than 7500 fixed lines and 30,000 mobile connections were provided. A record collection of more than Rs. One Crore was also generated. Maximum expenditure for these melas were below Rs. Two lakhs. 19,000 mobiles and 2,000 fixed lines were provided in Davangere only.
