You are in the know of the matter that Durgapuja, the greatest festival of the state is knocking at the door. You are also aware that people of the state including BSNL Employees have got a social obligation to purchase new clothings for a good number of their families & relatives.

For the last one month we have been listening to an unofficial information that BSNL management has decided the Bonus amount as follows:-

Rs.6000/- for Group-D, Rs.8000/- for Gr-C and Rs.10,000/- for Group-A & B. On 29^th or 30^th September’2004 BSNL Board has also approved the rate for Bonus. BSNL Employees have been anxiously waiting for Bonus order. We have come to know that NFTE BSNL an applicant union has raised an objection and demanded adhoc bonus payment @Rs.6000/- to all pending finalisation of a Bonus formula.

At this backdrop we would request you to take up the matter with the BSNL H.Q. and request them for issuance an order on Bonus immediately within a day or two in the light of Board decision so that staff can get Bonus payment well before the Durga Puja. We have got no objection in the matter of finalisation of Bonus formula and to make additional payment if there be any later on.
