STRIKE IN BSNL- JUST WARNING TO THE MANAGEMENT.

The one day strike today, 15th December 2011, by BSNL officers and employees was a magnificent success. Throughout  the West Bengal State , more than 97% Officers and employees participated in this crucial strike. All Office / Exchange  was closed without any body attending office. Except one or two,  CGMs /DGMs could not attend offices. Thousands of Officers, employees, pensioners and casual/contract workers held demonstrations at Telephone Bhawan, C.T.O. Building, T.C.O. Building,  CGM W.B. office, Asansol, Durgapur, Kharagpur, Krishnagar, Burdwan, Suri, Bankura, Purulia, Berhampore, Malda, Raiganj, Siliguri, Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Gangtok   , Divisions under Kokata Telephones Circle, Telecom Stores, Telecom Factory and office of the CGM-ETR, CGM-Project and DGM Q.A. JAC W.B. State  has congratulated the employees/officers for the excellent strike giving a stern warning to the management that if the issues are not settled, there will further struggles. FNTO officially kept away from the strike, but in many places their members joined the strike and expressed their passive support. NFTE-BSNL also actively participated in strike under JAC in West Bengal State particularly in Kolkata Telephones District Circle.

The Casual and Contract workers all over West Bengal State as per the call of the BSNL Casual and Contract Workers Federation fully participated in the strike, despite the fact that their issues were not in the strike notice. They very well understood that unless BSNL exists, their work also will not be there.

The BSNL DOT pensioners as per the call of the All India BSNL DOT Pensioners Association participated in the demonstrations and gave solidarity and support  to the strike

JAC W.B. State also thanks the other Central Govt. Employees Unions’ , Associations of other Central PSUs and democratic forces for their support and solidarity to the strike.

This historic strike in West Bengal State also proved that the Unity for struggle and Struggle for Unity and Unity and Struggle  for the advancement of the workers. Class struggle is the main ideology of the working class and there is irrelevant of change of State Govt.
